Notebook from 77-73 Game 3 win vs Dallas
It appears folks don’t know George Lucas lives in the Bay Area because social media was surprised to see him courtside. "What up, George Lucas?" Gabby William said in the post-game interview with ESPN. "That's pretty cool."
Any way, every part of that game was crazy to watch unfold. Williams said it best: “We owe Ballhalla a big thank you for tonight.” I’ve never quite been in a crowd like that before for any sport, which is wild.
Natalie Nakase collapsed near the end of the game and she coached til the end, but didn’t talk to reporters postgame. Assistant coach Kasib Powell said she was “totally fine” and would coach on Sunday. Wishing the best for her, she has always been gracious with her time and I hope she is doing okay.
“We just know that we saw her afterwards, and she was fine, laughing, in great spirits,” Powell said. “So we’ll figure out more as we go. But I think she’s totally fine. She’s talking. She’s laughing in the back. So we look forward to preparing and getting ready for Sunday.”
Game 1 against the Aces will be on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time at Chase Center, so a very quick turnaround for the Valkyries.
