Notebook from day six of training camp:
  • Natalie Nakase said she expects Kaila Charles, Janelle Salaun, Iliana Rupert and Cecilia Zandalasini to join the team sometime this week, but that they would get some rest.

  • Gabby Williams was with the team for practice for the first time but she didn’t participate, instead observing. “I'm just impressed by everybody's energy and everyone's excited to be here,” she said. “So it makes me excited.”

  • Kayla Thornton said she felt good after playing for the first time since her knee injury last season. “It was a long time coming,” she said. “Had a great offseason. I just thank God that I was able to go out there and not really think about nothing and just trying to just get all the (butterflies) out that you get and stuff like that for the first game, so it's out there in my team and contribute what I've been contributing. “

  • After the paywall, a look at Kaitlyn Chen’s chances of making the roster.
