Kate Martin makes her return to the Bay Area
Kate Martin stepped onto the Chase Center court and closed her eyes. She wanted to visualize the moment when the Ballhalla crowd would welcome her back to the arena she called home for a year.
Ahead of Martin’s first game against the Golden State Valkyries, the 26-year-old said she wasn’t sure being waived was something “you ever get over.” Now on the Los Angeles Sparks developmental roster, she said after shootaround on Monday that she’s still coming to terms with being cut.
