Notebook from 78-75 win against Dream
Don’t look now, but if the season ended today, the Valkyries would have home court advantage in the playoffs. We’re not even halfway through the season so that is way too soon, but, exciting, nonetheless. The Valkyries are 12-7, good for the fourth seed, tied for New York but with the tiebreaker. They are also half a game behind Atlanta for the No. 3 seed, and now own the tiebreaker in that season series.
“Playing a team every other day is basically a playoff series,” Kiah Stokes said on Friday. “So I think it shows what we’re capable of… Obviously, we have some things that we can improve and work on, and Atlanta is a really good team but it really just goes to show that we have a lot of talented capabilities and we can make a pretty far run as long as we clean up the little stuff.”
