Notebook from 77-66 win against Dream
Fun note for readers: Gabby Williams told me today that her favorite Pokemon is Mewtwo. More to come on that.
Dream star Angel Reese worked with Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase with the U.S. women’s national team in a training camp in the spring, and the two had a mutual respect working with each other.
“We had more fun than anything,” Reese said on Wednesday before the game. “Me and her had a good time. We were laughing a lot. We built kind of more of a personal relationship, obviously. You know, she's a great coach, analytics, and she helped a lot for me defensively, and how aggressive it is playing USA, so she was really helpful there, and I really like, I like playing for her, she was really fun.”
