Notebook from 88-77 loss to Lynx
Kaila Charles left this one after getting poked in the eye in the third quarter. head coach Natalie Nakase didn’t have much of an update after the game on the forward.
“She got poked directly into the eye,” Nakase said. “I will actually I'll find out when I get back there, but I hope I'm hoping she's okay. Never want to see you know a player like that get hit.”
Olivia Miles should probably be in the MVP conversation. What she has done for that Lynx team as a rookie is remarkable, and watching her in person was a special experience. She had a behind-the-back pass to Kayla McBride for three and made her own trey off balance at the end of the first quarter that drew some oohs and ahhs from Chase Center.
