Notebook from 78-58 win against Sparks
Kaila Charles played arguably her best game of the season on Monday, scoring 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting and 2-for-3 from three-point range.
“Kai brings a different level of energy that sometimes I feel like every time I watch her play, it’s a new level of energy,” Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase said.
In her return to the Bay, Kate Martin played 11 minutes and didn’t stuff the stat sheet but did play one of the better defensive games on the Sparks and was their lone plus player. She talked to reporters before the game about what the moment would feel like for her.
