LAS VEGAS — When Laeticia Amihere stepped on the court on June 19 against Minnesota, the Chase Center crowd exploded.
Amihere played 10 minutes that night, the most she had played since her 14 minutes in the May 28 win over Indiana after a string of DNPs and small minutes against the Sparks and Wings earlier in the week. Her playing time seemingly disappeared at the start of June with little explanation after she had played double digit minutes in every game prior.
With four games in seven days, head coach Natalie Nakase needed fresh legs. Amihere gave her that on Friday, even in the loss.
